Bernie Williams is officially eligible for Hall of Fame (HOF) voting.  The 44 year old former Yankee, who helped win four World Series Championships for the Yankees during a  16 year career that ended in 2006,  is among 13 new players on the 2012 Hall of Fame ballot.  Williams  a five-time  All-Star for the Yankees  fairs to be a  long shot to become the 44th member of Yankee players  inducted into the Hall.  There are a total of 27 new names on the ballot including 14 from last year. Players are eligible to appear on the ballot for 15 years.  The results from this years balloting will be announced January 9.
