Cumbanchero: Rafael Hernández Marín (1892-1965) was a Puerto Rican songwriter whose music became a staple of the Puerto Rican culture. Cumbanchero comes from the word cumbancha which is derived from its African roots meaning an impromptu musical gathering or a party.
